SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE

Roof, Gutters & Drainage

Roof and drainage systems monitored through a single point of contact, keeping water moving safely away from your home.

Rain and snow landing on a house have to go somewhere. Rooflines gather the water, gutters carry it off, and downspouts move it clear of the foundation. It is one continuous system, and it only works if every part of it does.

When one section stops working, the water doesn’t stop — it simply goes somewhere else. Into the soil against the foundation. Behind a flashing detail. Under the shingles at a valley. The damage shows up months later and well away from the cause, which is why a stain on a ceiling is rarely a problem with the ceiling.

Signs Worth Attention

• Gutters overflowing during rain
• Soil eroding around the house
• Basement dampness after heavy rainfall
• Water pooling near the foundation
• Ceiling stains following storms
• Ice forming along roof edges in winter

How Dibico Manages It

Gutters are cleared and inspected on a seasonal schedule rather than after they overflow. Rooflines are monitored where failures actually begin — valleys, flashing, vents, and transitions — and downspouts are checked to confirm water is still being carried well clear of the foundation, not just off the roof.

After major storms we review the roof and drainage again, since that is when damage happens and when it is still easy to find. Everything is documented, and nobody at your house is on a ladder in November.
